The Thing Itself

I felt this image portrays what John Szarkowski says about a photo challenging reality.  Someone might look at this image and think that there has to be something at the end of this cord.  Truthfully, the cord is not plug into anything but is just next to my camera creating this illusion.

  1. Your "detail" picture is awesome! I love how the viewer can see the drops of water. The shallow depth of field is also a nice touch. :)

  2. I really like your detail picture. How it is fuzzy on the sides so it makes the viewer look directly at the water droplets.

  3. Your "slow shutter + tripod" is eerie: The burst of light entering the room, and the kitchen stool moving across the room, leaving ghostly imprints behind.
